The Karnataka PGCET 2026 is officially scheduled for May 23 and May 24, 2026. Following the exam, the KEA mandates a strict physical document verification round. Candidates must present verified academic and domicile records to receive their Secret Verification Key and participate in the seat allotment process.
With the April 30th registration deadline now successfully closed, the focus shifts entirely to exam execution and administrative readiness. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) enforces highly stringent protocols for both examination day conduct and post-exam document verification. A minor oversight in your document portfolio or a violation of the dress code can result in immediate disqualification.

Module 1: The PGCET 2026 Critical Timeline (May – June)
The KEA operates on a highly condensed schedule leading up to the exams. Candidates must meticulously track these milestones:
- PGCET Admit Card 2026 Release: Expected Mid-May 2026. Download exclusively via the official KEA portal (cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea).
- Official Examination Dates * May 23, 2026 (M.Tech / M.E. / M.Arch) o May 24, 2026 (MBA & MCA)
- Provisional Answer Key: Expected within 3-5 days post-examination.
- KEA Document Verification Phase: Commences shortly after the June result declaration at designated nodal centers.
Module 2: The KEA Document Verification Arsenal
Post-examination, KEA conducts a rigorous physical document verification process. Failing to produce these documents in the exact prescribed format will prevent you from receiving your Secret Verification Key, blocking you entirely from the Option Entry phase.

Module 3: Exam Day Protocol & The Official KEA Dress Code
The KEA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for malpractice and administrative delays.
- Reporting Time & Bell Schedule: Candidates must reach their designated exam center 60 minutes before the exam starts. The first bell rings 10 minutes prior to commencement, allowing time to carefully shade details on the OMR sheet.
- Identity Verification: Alongside the Hall Ticket, you must carry a valid, original Government Photo ID (Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport).
- The Official Dress Code: Wear simple, unlayered, half-sleeve clothing.
- Prohibited Items: Full-sleeved shirts, garments with large buttons or multiple pockets, thick-soled shoes, caps, sunglasses, and metallic jewelry.
