Program Overview

The Department of Kannada at Surana College is a center for linguistic excellence, established to promote the profound literary traditions of Karnataka. Affiliated with Bangalore University, the department offers a comprehensive study of Kannada language and literature, fostering a deep cultural connection among students across all academic streams.

Through the "Kannada Sangha," the department actively preserves regional heritage by hosting state-level literary competitions, workshops, and cultural fests that empower students to master both classical texts and modern communication skills.

Our academic framework is supported by a team of highly qualified faculty members specializing in research and cultural studies. By integrating traditional pedagogy with contemporary academic standards, the department ensures that students develop critical thinking and a robust appreciation for the role of language in society.
