C. Student Welfare Committees
Student Welfare Committees are organizational entities within educational institutions designed to support and enhance the well-being, safety, and development of students. These committees address issues pertaining to gender equality, personal safety, student rights, and general mental and physical health. They work towards creating a positive and inclusive environment on campus, ensuring that students have access to resources and assistance, particularly in areas that directly impact their academic and personal development.
Some key components of the Student Welfare Committees include:
- 1. She Cell: A specialized support network designed to empower female students by equipping them with skills to confront challenges such as harassment and gender-based discrimination while promoting gender equality on campus.
- 2. Anti-Ragging Committee: A group established to ensure student safety on campus by preventing bullying and ragging. It addresses complaints, organizes awareness campaigns, and implements corrective measures to prevent ragging incidents.
- 3. Sexual Harassment Elimination Committee:This committee is responsible for addressing cases of sexual harassment within the organization. By raising awareness, providing counseling, and ensuring that complaints are taken seriously and addressed effectively, it aims to eliminate harassment in all its forms..
- 4. Gender Sensitization Committee:This committee strives to promote awareness and reduce gender-based biases, prejudices, and stereotypes to nurture a better understanding of gender issues. It organizes educational initiatives, training sessions, and workshops.
- 5. Women Empowerment Committee:Dedicated to empowering and assisting female students, this committee aims to provide leadership development workshops, equitable opportunity and initiatives that promote the personal, academic, and professional growth of women.
- 6. Student Welfare and Development Committee: This comprehensive committee works to ensure students' physical, mental, and social well-being by focusing on their holistic development. It addresses areas such as career counseling, mental health support, and student engagement, helping students succeed in both their academic and personal lives.

SC/ST/OBC/Minority Cell:The welfare and empowerment of students from underrepresented groups, such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and minorities, are the focus of this cell. It aims to provide equitable opportunities, offer support in overcoming social and psychological challenges, and ensure the protection of legal rights. By organizing counseling services, scholarships, and awareness campaigns, the cell fosters an inclusive and supportive environment for students from these communities.
