Policies & Ethics

Adhering to COPE guidelines and international publishing standards.

The journal adopts a full open-access publishing policy, ensuring that all articles are made immediately and freely accessible to readers without subscription, registration, or financial barriers. This approach aligns with global initiatives aimed at democratizing access to scientific knowledge and fostering inclusive academic participation across diverse geographical and institutional contexts.

By eliminating access restrictions, the journal enhances the dissemination, visibility, and citation potential of published research. This policy supports wider engagement among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, thereby maximizing the scholarly and societal impact of scientific contributions while promoting transparency and knowledge equity in the global research ecosystem.

Editorial decisions are based exclusively on the scholarly merit, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance of submitted manuscripts to the journal’s scope. Each submission undergoes a structured and critical evaluation to ensure that it meets high academic and scientific standards.

The editorial process is conducted with strict adherence to principles of fairness, transparency, and independence. Decisions are made without consideration of authors’ institutional affiliations, nationality, or personal characteristics, thereby ensuring an unbiased and consistent approach to manuscript evaluation and maintaining the integrity of the publication process.

The journal requires all authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the objectivity or integrity of the research and publication process. Such conflicts may include financial, professional, or personal relationships that may affect judgment.

Full disclosure ensures transparency and allows the editorial team to take appropriate measures, such as reviewer reassignment or additional oversight, to mitigate potential bias. This policy safeguards the credibility, impartiality, and ethical standards of the journal and reinforces trust in the scholarly communication process.

The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical standards, including the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to ensure integrity and accountability in scholarly publishing. All stakeholders are expected to uphold these principles throughout the research and publication lifecycle.

Any form of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, or unethical research practices, is strictly prohibited. Verified cases are addressed through appropriate corrective actions, including rejection, retraction, or notification to relevant institutions, ensuring the maintenance of high ethical standards.

All submitted manuscripts are subjected to rigorous plagiarism screening using standard detection software to ensure originality and authenticity. The journal requires that the similarity index remains below 10%, excluding references, to maintain the credibility of published research.

The use of AI-assisted tools is permitted only in a limited capacity (up to 15%) for language refinement, grammar correction, and formatting purposes. Such usage must be clearly disclosed by authors, who retain full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the content presented in their manuscripts.

The JETST requires authors to formally assign and transfer copyright of their accepted manuscripts to the journal as a condition of publication. This ensures the protection, dissemination, and lawful use of published content while maintaining academic integrity and accessibility.

Upon acceptance of the manuscript, the corresponding author, on behalf of all co-authors, must submit a duly signed Copyright Assignment Form. Through this agreement, the authors transfer the exclusive rights of reproduction, distribution and communication of work to JETST in all forms and media, including electronic and print formats.

The authors retain the following rights:

  • To use the published work for academic and research purposes, including teaching and presentations.
  • To include the work in thesis, dissertations, or institutional repositories with proper citations.
  • To reuse figures, tables, and portions of the content in future works, subject to appropriate acknowledgement of the original publication in JETST.

The journal employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation process. This approach promotes objectivity, fairness, and impartiality in manuscript assessment.

Each submission is reviewed by subject experts based on criteria such as originality, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the field. Constructive feedback is provided to authors to enhance the quality of their work, and final decisions are made through a transparent and structured editorial process.

The journal ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of published content through systematic archiving in secure institutional repositories and digital backup systems. This approach safeguards scholarly materials against technological obsolescence and data loss.

By maintaining robust preservation mechanisms, the journal guarantees continuous access to research outputs for future reference and academic use. This policy supports the sustainability of scholarly communication and ensures that valuable scientific contributions remain available to the global research community.

The journal operates under a no-fee publishing model, ensuring that authors are not required to pay any charges at any stage of submission, peer review, or publication. This approach promotes equitable access to publishing opportunities across diverse economic backgrounds.

As the journal does not impose Article Processing Charges (APCs), waiver requests are not applicable. This policy reflects the journal’s commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and the removal of financial barriers in scholarly publishing.

The journal maintains a formal and structured mechanism for addressing complaints related to editorial decisions, peer review processes, or ethical concerns. All complaints are treated with strict confidentiality and handled in accordance with established procedures.

Efforts are made to ensure timely and fair resolution of all issues, with appropriate corrective actions implemented when necessary. This policy reinforces transparency, accountability, and trust in the journal’s editorial and publication practices.

Authors are encouraged to make their underlying research data available in appropriate repositories, subject to ethical, legal, and confidentiality considerations. This practice promotes transparency and supports the validation of research findings.

Data sharing enhances reproducibility, facilitates further research, and fosters collaboration within the scientific community. The journal supports responsible data management practices that align with international standards.

The journal requires that all studies involving human or animal subjects adhere strictly to institutional, national, and international ethical guidelines. Ethical approval from relevant committees must be obtained and documented where applicable.

Compliance with these standards ensures the protection, dignity, and welfare of research subjects. It also reinforces the ethical foundation of scientific inquiry and promotes responsible conduct in research practices.

The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. In cases where significant errors, ethical concerns, or instances of misconduct are identified, appropriate actions such as corrections, retractions, or withdrawals are implemented.

These measures are carried out in accordance with established editorial policies and ethical guidelines. All decisions are documented and communicated transparently to ensure accountability and to preserve the reliability and credibility of the journal’s published content.
