About the Journal

 

The Surana Journal of Management Research (SJMR) is a peer-reviewed, bi-annual scholarly journal published by Department of MBA and Research Centre, Surana College (Autonomous), Kengeri, Bangalore.

The journal serves as an academic platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, and policy makers to disseminate innovative ideas, empirical findings, and conceptual insights in the field of management and allied disciplines.

The journal follows a double-blind review process to ensure academic rigor, originality, and high ethical standards in scholarly publishing. SJMR publishes research contributions twice a year, in March and September.

Aim and Objectives of the Journal

 

The aims of Surana Journal of Management Research (SJMR) are to:

  • Encourage and disseminate original theoretical, empirical, and applied research in management and social sciences.
  • Provide a credible platform for academia–industry interface through research-driven insights.
  • Promote interdisciplinary research that addresses contemporary managerial, organizational, and societal challenges.
  • Foster ethical research practices and scholarly excellence among emerging and established researchers.

Manuscript Submission Guidelines

1. Cover Page

Each manuscript must include a separate cover page. It includes:

  • Title of the manuscript
  • Name(s) of author(s)
  • Institutional affiliation(s)
  • Complete postal address
  • Email ID and contact number
  • Corresponding Author Details

Author details must not appear anywhere else in the manuscript to maintain the double-blind review process.

2. Abstract and Keywords

  • A separate abstract page must be submitted
  • Abstract length: 150–250 words
  • Include 4–6 keywords, arranged alphabetically

3. Manuscript Content

The main manuscript should include:

  • Title
  • Abstract
  • Main text
  • Tables and figures
  • References

The manuscript file must not contain any information related to author identification.

Authors should submit three separate files:

  1. Cover Page
  2. Abstract Page
  3. Main Manuscript

4. Word Limit

  • Recommended length: 4,000–6,000 words, inclusive of tables, figures, and references
  • Applicable to research papers and case studies

5. Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 12 pt (main text), 10 pt (tables)
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Page numbers: Centred at the bottom
  • Tables and figures must be numbered in order and should include titles and source notes
  • All abbreviations must be expanded at first use
  • Figures should be in black and white

6. Reference Style

  • References must strictly follow APA 7th Edition guidelines
  • All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa
