The Surana College Annual Sports Meet 2025-26 brought together over 1,250 students across thrilling indoor and outdoor events. Held at the National College Ground in Jayanagar, the competition showcased our commitment to holistic learning, culminating in a dominant Overall Championship victory for the B.Com department.

This philosophy was on full display during our Annual Sports Meet for the academic year 2025-26. Spanning across the 4th, 11th, 13th, and 17th of April 2026, the UG Campus (Jayanagar/South End) students transformed the National College Ground into an arena of sheer athletic brilliance and sportsmanship.

Unprecedented Participation & Energy

This year's sports meet saw remarkable enthusiasm, proving exactly why the Surana College Campus Life is unmatched. With a massive turnout, our students brought fierce competition to every corner of the grounds:

  • Total Participation: 1,250 students (650 in Indoor Events, 600 in Outdoor Events).
  • Carrom (Boys & Girls): 123 teams battling for the board.
  • Badminton (Mixed): 106 teams bringing agility to the court.
  • Table Tennis (Boys & Girls): 46 teams showcasing rapid reflexes.
  • Chess (Boys & Girls): 87 participants demonstrating strategic mastery.
  • Track & Field: 28 teams in the Mixed Relay, and 78 lightning-fast participants in the 100 Meter Race.
  • Team Sports: 28 teams in Boys' Cricket, 12 teams in Girls' Throwball, and 26 powerhouse teams in Tug of War.

Key Matchups & Championship Results

The competitive spirit across our Undergraduate Courses in Bangalore was electric. Here are the major highlights from the field:

  • Track Dominance: The 100 Mtrs Run saw Shashank R (II BCA) take first place for the boys , while Varshita C (III BCOM) claimed gold for the girls.
  • Cricket Glory: The II BCOM boys, led by Niranjan B, clinched the Cricket Championship against the III BBA runners
  • Throwball Thriller: The II BSC girls, captained by Bhavana C S, took home the winning title against the III BCOM squad.
  • The Ultimate Relay: The 4x50 Mtrs Mixed Shuttle Relay was dominated by the III BCOM team featuring Shashanka Holla, Manjunath V, Lakshmi Shree, and Varshitha C.

The Overall Championship:

Consistency and teamwork pay off. The B.COM department took home the ultimate bragging rights, winning the Overall Championship Trophy with a massive 115 points! They were followed by B.Sc with 49 points, BCA with 44 points, BBA with 33 points, and BA with 8 points.
