For Ajay Kumar B, his journey at Surana College (Autonomous), Jayanagar, Bangalore was not simply about earning degrees. It was about transformation — from uncertainty to confidence, from hesitation to leadership.

Today, Ajay serves as a Technical Lead at Cognizant, contributing to large-scale technology solutions in the global IT industry. But years before leading teams and projects, he was a student walking into campus unsure of what the future held.

The First Day: Uncertainty and Possibility

Ajay vividly remembers his first day on campus.

He describes himself as nervous, confused, and unsure about what lay ahead — a feeling many students experience when beginning their higher education journey.

“I still remember the first day I visited this campus. I was nervous, confused, and not sure what the future would bring to me.”

“The faculty members not only taught me academics, but they also guided me in the right way. They corrected me when I was wrong and showed me the right path.”

This balance of academic rigor and personal guidance helped him build discipline, clarity, and resilience — qualities that are essential in the technology industry today.

Ajay also credits student platforms such as Esotric and Sadhana for contributing to his growth. These platforms allowed him to engage, participate, and explore beyond structured curriculum.
