The Department of Commerce, Surana College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, successfully organized a Value-Added Course on ZOHO Books for B.Com 4th Semester and M.Com students. The program was designed to equip students with practical knowledge of digital accounting tools and strengthen their industry-oriented skills.
The sessions were conducted from 6th April to 15th May 2026 in Classroom No. 109, in association with the Hardware Technology Group. The course emphasized hands-on learning and enabled students to gain exposure to real-time accounting practices, GST compliance, invoice management, and financial transaction processing using ZOHO Books software.
Objectives
- To provide practical training on ZOHO Books software
- To familiarize students with digital accounting and GST procedures
- To offer industry-oriented learning through real-time applications
- To enhance employability and technical accounting skills among students
- To bridge the gap between academic learning and business practices
The program received active participation from students and created an engaging learning environment through practical demonstrations and interactive sessions. The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment towards skill-based education and holistic student development.
The course was successfully coordinated by Dr. Lokesha G. Angadi, Assistant Professor, Dr. Jagadish M. H, and Prof. Mahalakshmi, Head, Department of Commerce, whose continuous efforts ensured the smooth execution of the program and effective student involvement throughout the course duration.
Outcomes
