Graduation was just the beginning.At Surana College (Autonomous), Jayanagar, Bangalore, education extends far beyond classroom learning. Through exposure, mentorship, competitions, and leadership opportunities, students discover who they truly are — both personally and professionally.Melvin’s journey stands as a testament to that philosophy.
From Campus Stages to Global Platforms
Melvin joined Surana College in 2018. While academics laid the foundation, it was participation in inter-college competitions across Bangalore that truly shaped his growth.
Instead of limiting himself to the classroom, he stepped onto stages, competed, engaged in clubs and committees, and embraced leadership opportunities. That exposure helped him discover his passion for public speaking — eventually leading him to become a National Debate Champion.
Encouraged by faculty members who believed in participation over perfection, Melvin developed the confidence that would define his future.
Today, he works as a Senior Learning and Development Specialist at a Dubai-based startup, carrying forward the lessons he learned during his time on campus.
