The PG Chemistry Department successfully organized a unique event titled “Chem Waste to Chem Wealth” on 5th July 2025. The activity aimed to demonstrate innovative ways to repurpose waste materials into useful products. As a part of this initiative, students collected waste paper and newspapers from various departments across the campus.

These were skillfully crafted and distributed to local vendors and small shops in the nearby market area with the support of merchants and street vendors. This initiative not only emphasized the concept of sustainability and waste management, but also served as a platform for students to engage in social responsibility.

It provided a practical learning experience, fostering creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness. The project also highlighted how small-scale scientific ideas can bring positive impact to the community when combined with local collaboration. The event stood as a model for green initiatives within educational institutions, demonstrating how chemistry can contribute to environmental protection.
